VANCOUVER, BC— Kevin Falcon, BC Liberal leadership candidate and British Columbia’s former Minister of State for Deregulation, has applauded Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s decision to tackle red tape and promote small and medium-size business. Falcon, who reduced red tape regulations in British Columbia by more than one-third when he was Minister of Deregulation, said having Rob Moore, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism) as the chair of the Red Tape Reduction Commission sends a strong signal that the federal government understands the burden and cost of red tape to creating jobs and growing the economy.
